N cable connector is a signal transmission medium between base station and small device like module. This N connector is designed to terminate with LMR240, RG8/X RF coaxial cable to be N adaptor cable or N antenna cable. Same as SMA connector and TNC connector, N RF connector has thread coupling design, but has larger size than those RF connectors.
